IT Platform Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Develop and deliver robust, secure, high-quality solutions in a cloud-based environment.
• Build and maintain scalable data platforms for an enterprise data lake using Azure.
• Apply software engineering practices including SOLID principles, design patterns, and domain-driven design.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
• Implement DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing and support and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Strong experience in object-oriented programming, analysis, and design, with Python preferred.
• Experience with cloud services and SDKs; Azure, Terraform, and Databricks are preferred technologies.
• Strong understanding of incremental software development, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and software testing practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and accountability skills.
• Ability to mentor and support team members.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unity Catalog.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
• Experience with layer testing, testing pyramids, and pytest.
