What you will do

• Create UI elements, icons, illustrations, and other 2D art assets for Crusader Kings 3.
• Implement UX wireframes and UI assets in the game engine.
• Improve the visual quality, consistency, accessibility, and usability of the game interfaces.
• Help shape the visual direction of Crusader Kings 3 in collaboration with the art, UX, game design, and management teams.
• Use scripting and AI-assisted software development tools to support UI implementation and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Professional 2D/UI art experience with a strong portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of digital painting software such as Photoshop.
• Solid fundamentals in composition, lighting, material expression, and color, with the ability to match the Crusader Kings 3 style.
• Familiarity with scripting, UI implementation, UX principles, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience taking UI from a UX framework through final implementation and collaborating with UX and game designers.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• 3D experience with Blender or Maya.
• Experience working on a live game development team.
• Interest in Paradox grand strategy games, modding, medieval history, world cultures, and historical research.
