Corporate Affairs Director- Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI and Data): Developing enterprise communications strategies, leadership materials, internal campaigns, and external visibility programs for Amgen's AI and Data organization with an accent on translating complex technical topics into clear messaging and supporting responsible AI adoption. Focus on advising senior leaders, leading cross-functional communications workstreams, managing executive visibility and thought leadership, and measuring engagement and communication effectiveness.

What you will do
- Develop enterprise-aligned storytelling and communications strategies for the Artificial Intelligence and Data organization.
- Advise AI and Data leaders on messaging, positioning, engagement, executive communications, and thought leadership.
- Translate complex AI, data, digital, scientific, and technical topics into clear communications for diverse audiences.
- Lead integrated internal and external communications, including campaigns, leadership materials, presentations, briefings, town halls, and social media messaging.
- Drive awareness, adoption, and responsible use of AI tools in partnership with change, HR, technology, training, legal, compliance, and business teams.
- Manage agencies and cross-functional workstreams, anticipate reputational and compliance considerations, and measure communication effectiveness.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 4 years, master's degree and 7 years, or bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, marketing, technology communications, or creative/content development.
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience advising senior leaders and developing communications strategies aligned with business priorities and transformation.
- Experience translating complex scientific, technical, and business topics into clear, compelling messaging.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or agencies and working with legal, compliance, technology, training, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and use data and insights to improve communications.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, technology, or life sciences organizations.
- Experience with AI, data, digital transformation, innovation, or enterprise change initiatives.
- Experience with executive visibility, thought leadership, internal and external campaigns, social media, and global communications programs.
