Tax Director - Real Estate - Flowthrough

Location: Hybrid in Santa Monica, Long Beach, or Irvine, California

What you will do

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to flow-through clients in real estate, cryptocurrency, venture capital, private equity, and wine.
• Manage multiple complex engagements and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Develop financial planning ideas, client recommendations, and implementation plans.
• Lead complex tax research projects involving diverse flow-through tax issues.
• Review work and provide counseling, leadership, and career guidance to tax seniors and associates.

Requirements

• 6+ years of public accounting experience in tax.
• BS/BA in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Licensed CPA or EA certification.
• Extensive experience with flow-through taxation and real estate taxation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and experience researching complex tax issues.
