Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: On-site in Milton Park, UK, at least four days per week; 10–15% travel to the Boston area, United States.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day HR business partner support and resolve complex employee and manager issues at the UK site.
• Advise functional leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, development, and other human capital matters.
• Lead UK HR processes including onboarding, year-end performance assessment, calibration, benefits orientation, and leave administration coordination.
• Drive employee engagement programs, survey follow-up, action planning, and initiatives aligned with company values.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and other HR functions to implement company-wide programs and improve the employee experience.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to cross-functional projects involving wellness, talent attraction, retention, and HR operations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of broad Human Resources experience, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, training, and benefits.
• 3+ years working directly with senior leaders in an HR business partner capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment laws, compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, performance management, and training.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders, managing multiple priorities, and operating effectively in a fast-growing organization.
• Biotech or laboratory experience and familiarity with R&D functions are strongly preferred.
