Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Raleigh, NC, USA; onsite manufacturing role with extended hours required to support staff.

What you will do

• Oversee daily production schedules, plant operations, manufacturing activities, and shop order management.
• Manage the manufacturing process from quotation through mechanical and electrical assembly, parts production, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and final commissioning.
• Lead plant safety, facilities management, manufacturing quality, capacity planning, utilization, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Drive lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and standard operating procedures.
• Develop production KPIs covering safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory turns, and on-time delivery.
• Select, train, coach, and manage production staff while coordinating across engineering, quality, operations, and other functions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, quality, project management, or production in a design-to-build environment.
• Understanding of machined and fabricated parts, machinery, and electrical assembly.
• Experience managing departments of 30 or more employees, including personnel management, problem-solving, and team development.
• Knowledge of lean practices and methodologies, with strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; willingness to work extended hours is required.
