Golang Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications in Go.
• Develop production gRPC and REST APIs and contribute to Kubernetes-native systems.
• Address latency, concurrency, networking, distributed systems, and operational efficiency challenges.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready technical solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with Go; the position lists 7+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native development, relational and key-value data stores, distributed systems, networking, CI/CD, and container-based deployment.
• Strong debugging, performance-engineering, communication, and documentation skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions to Go-based projects and experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, low-level systems programming, security-sensitive Go projects, cryptography, or authentication.
• Exposure to WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems.
