Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid arrangement with office attendance required at least once a week. Occasional travel to London is expected.
Salary: €49,000–€81,700 per year.

What you will do
- Review papers with editors to identify newsworthy health and science research.
- Develop media stories, research reporters, and write clear press releases and media summaries.
- Support media strategies for major reports and papers by translating aims and key messages into effective tactics.
- Identify and help manage reputational risks, including contentious research papers.
- Manage the press release distribution platform and media database, producing coverage reports and analysis.
- Monitor the press office inbox, respond to journalists, and support external communications teams.
Requirements
- Interest or experience in communications, public relations, or media relations.
- Interest in health and science, or a related scientific or health qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work with editors, authors, journalists, and communications teams.
- Determination to achieve accurate, high-quality media coverage.
