Reliability Engineer III / Senior Reliability Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

Location: Texas City, Texas, United States; occasional travel of approximately 10–15% is expected.

What you will do

• Act as the rotating equipment subject matter expert for NG&NGL operations.
• Establish and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for compressors, pumps, engines, piping, and ancillary equipment.
• Lead asset health reviews, bad actor reviews, reliability improvement projects, and root cause investigations.
• Analyze equipment condition, performance, vibration, and reliability risks, and develop corrective actions.
• Support remote performance and condition monitoring, digital technology adoption, equipment modeling, and optimization.
• Develop technical standards, specifications, reports, and recommendations in collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• At least four years of related experience.
• Experience with rotating equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
• Valid driver license, successful drug test, and successful background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively, manage competing priorities, work independently, and support multiple sites.

Nice to have

• Experience installing and commissioning centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating compressors and centrifugal pumps.
• Experience with NGL fractionation and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis, mitigation strategies, and vibration analysis software.
• Vibration and lubrication certification.
• Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, reliability modeling, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Analysis, Six Sigma, and Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
