Procurement Package Manager (Pharmaceutical Capital Projects)

What you will do

• Lead procurement and supply chain activities for major pharmaceutical capital projects from design through startup and operational readiness.
• Develop procurement strategies, execution plans, governance processes, reporting frameworks, and commercial strategies.
• Lead sourcing, bidding, negotiations, contract awards, purchasing, logistics, supplier quality, expediting, inspection, and materials management.
• Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, claims, disputes, commercial risks, long-lead equipment, critical materials, and delivery schedules.
• Direct procurement personnel and provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
• Partner with engineering, construction, quality, operations, finance, legal, logistics, and project controls teams on cost, schedule, risk, and project governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or capital project procurement, including 7 years leading procurement teams or functions.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, EPC, or EPCM projects, including capital projects exceeding $250 million.
• Strong contract negotiation, commercial management, supplier management, change management, leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with global suppliers and international project teams, plus procurement systems, sourcing technologies, Power BI, and analytics tools.
• Ability to travel up to 30%, including domestic and international travel, during project planning, execution, commissioning, and startup.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• CPSM, CPSD, PMP, or a similar professional certification.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biologics, vaccine, cell therapy, or biotechnology manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with greenfield and brownfield capital projects and Owner, EPC, or EPCM environments.
• International sourcing, supplier performance programs, and procurement improvement experience.
