Senior Agentic Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design technical systems for complex problems from first principles, including architecture, security, technical risks, edge cases, scale, and delivery milestones.
• Build agents, subagents, developer tools, and automated workflows that expand the implementation capabilities of AI.
• Own ambiguous products and engineering initiatives from discovery and technical design through implementation, verification, and production.
• Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that improve individual and team engineering output.
• Identify technical opportunities, challenge assumptions, and influence product direction beyond the existing roadmap.
• Share knowledge and improve engineering workflows to increase team-wide delivery velocity.

Requirements

• Senior-level, hands-on engineering experience with the ability to take systems from zero through architecture, implementation, and production.
• Exceptional systems thinking and first-principles problem solving, including architectural trade-offs, security, simplicity, scale, and technical risk.
• Demonstrated AI-native engineering experience, such as building agents or subagents, internal developer tooling, MCPs, agent interfaces, or automated development workflows.
• Strong product instinct and the ability to identify user problems and valuable opportunities rather than only implement assigned tickets.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly and challenge assumptions constructively.

Nice to have

• Experience orchestrating multiple agents and creating tools that multiply the output of other engineers.
• Experience working in rapidly changing startup environments with ambiguous specifications.
