Technical Lead - Application Support (Spring Boot/Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid; Rome, Italy or Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada

Salary: €41,800–€52,155 per year, plus a target annual performance bonus of 10%.

What you will do

• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex production issues, critical incidents, major outages, performance incidents, and service degradations.
• Coordinate root cause analysis with Engineering, QA, Architecture, and DevOps teams.
• Use dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, and traces to identify and resolve root causes.
• Promote operational stability, risk mitigation, and service reliability in a high-reliability environment.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, assign Jira tickets, coordinate daily activities, and support mentoring.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, continuous improvement, and 24/7 support coverage.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Application Support or Production Support and handling high-severity production incidents.
• Background in enterprise backend systems, distributed architectures, troubleshooting logs and metrics, and reviewing complex codebases.
• Experience developing with Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of RESTful services, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, DB2 or Oracle, and JMS, preferably ActiveMQ Artemis.
• Experience with Agile development processes and strong team leadership, mentoring, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English required. A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.

• Familiarity with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
