TL;DR
Lead AI Transformation Engineer (AI/Cybersecurity): Building production internal AI agents, context layers, and evaluation and safety infrastructure for Pentera's organization with an accent on technical strategy, secure agentic workflows, and measurable business impact. Focus on designing architectures, implementing RAG and tool-calling systems, and establishing production standards for accuracy, groundedness, task completion, safety, and cost.

What you will do
- Own the technical strategy for internal AI transformation, including target architecture, model and vendor selection, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Define the AI portfolio, automation priorities, success metrics, ROI standards, security controls, and auditability requirements.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate flagship internal AI agents and workflows from prototype through production.
- Build the AI context layer with connectors, APIs, retrieval services, metadata, identity and authorization, controls, and tool interfaces.
- Develop RAG, tool-calling, structured-output, and multi-step agentic workflows with safe action tools and supporting infrastructure.
- Mentor AI Champions, manage the AI Champions Community, advise leadership, and partner with business owners to scale or stop pilots based on evidence.
Requirements
- 4+ years of production software engineering experience.
- Strong Python, APIs, testing, CI/CD, data contracts, and cloud services experience.
- Evidence of senior technical scope, including setting direction, making architecture decisions, and owning systems end to end.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into technical plans and communicate trade-offs to non-engineers.
- Ownership mindset focused on measurable changes to business processes rather than demo completion.
Nice to have
- Experience as a first or early AI hire or in establishing an internal AI platform or function.
- Product management experience.
- Experience building internal platforms or company-wide data products.
