QC Lead Analyst (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Rathdrum, Wicklow, Ireland; site-based role

What you will do

• Lead a client-based team of QC analysts and act as the daily point of contact between SGS and the client.
• Oversee operational planning, productivity, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and service performance.
• Perform pharmaceutical testing of raw materials and drug substances in a GMP environment using approved procedures.
• Lead complex testing, troubleshooting, laboratory investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement activities.
• Review and verify analytical data, approve GMP documentation, maintain laboratory readiness, and support audits.
• Coordinate training, cross-training, equipment maintenance, inventory, supplies, and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent NFQ Level 7 education.
• More than five years of equivalent experience in analytical testing, including HPLC, GC, UV, wet chemistry, or dissolution.
• Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices and strong knowledge of analytical technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership, influence, coaching, and team management experience.
• Immediately eligible to work in Ireland.
