Financial Officer - Intern

Location: Casper, Wyoming, United States; travel to Omaha, Nebraska three times during the internship is required.

Salary: $20 per hour; qualified interns may also receive a $500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Learn office procedures and assist with promotional and public activities.
• Input customers’ annual financial information and analyze their financial position.
• Conduct credit verifications with references and other lenders.
• Observe marketing, sales, prospecting, loan application, renewal, and loan-closing activities.
• Observe real estate and chattel appraisal procedures and requirements.
• Complete assigned special projects and contribute to projects delivered to market.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in agricultural business, accounting, finance, agricultural economics, animal science, or a similar field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in agricultural finance, lending, and credit.
• Available for a 12-week summer internship and travel to Omaha three times for orientation, mid-summer, and closing events.
