Associate Principal - Health Economist/HTA Expert - UK and EU

Location: London, United Kingdom; available in the UK and EU countries. Remote working with occasional office visits.

What you will do

• Advise pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device clients on HTA evidence planning, market access strategy, reimbursement, and value communication.
• Lead complex global and regional HTA programmes, including EU Joint Clinical Assessments, national submissions, scientific advice, and evidence planning.
• Provide executive oversight across concurrent projects, ensuring scientific quality, strategic relevance, client satisfaction, and commercial performance.
• Develop senior client relationships, support proposals and business development, and lead discussions on scope, pricing, negotiation, and risk mitigation.
• Shape HTA consulting offerings and contribute to thought leadership through publications, conference contributions, and external presentations.
• Coach and mentor consultants, support capability development and recruitment, and provide line management where appropriate.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree or higher in HTA, health economics, economics, life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
• Typically 8 or more years of relevant experience in consulting, pharmaceuticals, an HTA agency, academia, or a related environment.
• Extensive experience preparing HTA evidence strategies and submissions in the UK and/or Europe, including appraisal, scientific advice, or negotiation processes.
• Experience managing complex client engagements, multidisciplinary teams, and project portfolios, with a strong commercial and business development track record.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methods, evidence synthesis, biostatistics, and health economic modelling; knowledge of STATA and R is highly desirable.
• Fluent English is required; applications must be submitted in English.
