What you will do
- Design atom–light operation methods, including sub-Doppler cooling, state preparation and detection, and quantum gates.
- Develop accurate physics models describing atom–light interactions.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to implement methods on quantum devices.
- Analyse experimental results and compare them with model predictions.
Requirements
- Experience designing atom–light interaction protocols for quantum technologies.
- Strong background in atomic physics research.
- Proven collaboration with experimental research groups and/or the quantum hardware industry.
- Proficiency in scientific programming, such as Python.
- PhD in atomic physics and published research results in the field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in quantum computing or quantum technologies.
- Experience modelling open quantum systems.
