Product Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote from the United Kingdom, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or South Africa

What you will do

• Run security reviews and threat modelling across product features and systems.
• Plan and deliver security projects from design through rollout.
• Build tooling and automation to make future reviews faster and more efficient.
• Coordinate penetration testing and track remediation through completion.
• Support SOC2 and PCI compliance activities, including evidence collection and audit remediation.
• Partner with Cloud, Infrastructure, GRC, and engineering teams on application, supply chain, AI security, and ASPM initiatives.

Requirements

• Professional experience in product or application security, including security reviews or threat modelling.
• Ability to read and write code and build small tools or automation.
• Strong risk judgement and the ability to explain security decisions clearly.
• Ability to plan and deliver work independently while escalating to a senior engineer when needed.
• Clear communication with engineers who are not security specialists.
• Must work remotely from the United Kingdom, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or South Africa.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SOC2 or PCI compliance frameworks.
• Experience in payments, fintech, or another regulated, high-stakes domain.
• Interest in supply chain security, detection engineering, or AI security.
