Cyber Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: London, United Kingdom; fully remote with days in the office monthly. Must be able to obtain United Kingdom Security Clearance and hold UK or EU (27) citizenship.

What you will do

• Monitor the network in a 24x7 frontline security team using a five-week Dupont rota with 12-hour shifts.
• Manage security cases and tickets, analyze incidents, and triage suspicious activity across online and on-premises infrastructures.
• Analyze SIEM reports, alerts, tickets, system logs, network logs, and security monitoring data to identify actionable events.
• Determine attack types, document detailed triage findings, artifacts, and indicators of compromise in the corporate case management platform.
• Support blocking and containment of security risks and review detected false positives.
• Provide feedback for the design, implementation, and administration of security tools and rules, and identify gaps and recommended fixes.

Requirements

• University degree-level education or equivalent in Information Security, Forensics, Computer Science, or a related field, with related experience or training in IT security monitoring and analysis, cyber threat analysis, and vulnerability analysis.
• Technical-level analysis and interpretation of information from SOC systems, including incident identification and analysis, blocking issues, and false-positive reduction.
• Multiple years of industry experience.
• Good technical understanding of computing protocols, authentication mechanisms, and attack TTPs.
• Intermediate knowledge of information security fundamentals, technologies, and design principles.
• Understanding of or demonstrable experience securing Windows, Linux, Oracle, and VM platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to obtain United Kingdom Security Clearance and hold UK or EU (27) citizenship.

Nice to have

• GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), or an equivalent GIAC certification.
• Willingness to learn new skills and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
