Algo Team Lead – Geometric Data Infrastructure (Python): Leading a team developing scalable infrastructure and algorithmic solutions for processing, validating, and understanding complex 3D LiDAR and Radar sensor data with an accent on geometric algorithms, spatial data workflows, and production infrastructure. Focus on designing 3D processing and calibration tools, building Python libraries and distributed data systems, and taking algorithmic solutions from research through production.
Location: Petah Tikva, Israel; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of approximately five algorithm and software developers while remaining hands-on.
- Design and build scalable Python libraries, data workflows, validation systems, and monitoring systems for spatial data.
- Develop algorithms and geometric tools for 3D data processing, sensor calibration, coordinate transformations, and spatial relationships.
- Build and maintain development infrastructure, including databases, dashboards, CI/CD pipelines, and automated documentation.
- Own complex algorithmic challenges from research through production and collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience leading, mentoring, and growing engineering teams.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software or backend engineering experience building large-scale production systems with Python.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and algorithmic complexity.
- Ability to work with 3D geometry, linear algebra, and coordinate transformations.
- Experience with Linux, containerization, CI/CD, databases, modern development workflows, scalable data infrastructure, distributed systems, or cloud-based architectures.
