Software Engineer – Payment Operations (Python)

hirify.global Payments is a Swedish fintech company building real-time account-to-account payment infrastructure across European markets.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a scalable, future-proof framework for core banking functionality.
• Build reliable backend services and foundational systems for real-time payments.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and scale distributed, microservices-based, and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure system precision, integrity, and reliability where payment data is critical.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining Python backend applications.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications, preferably with GCP.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience designing or scaling event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with systems where data integrity is critical.
• Work from Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI and Pydantic for API development and data validation.
• Experience with Google Cloud Run or similar service platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
