Head of Legal Engineering, Italy (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; office-based five days per week with travel across Italy

What you will do

• Establish and operate the Legal Engineering function for Italy from the Milan office.
• Hire Legal Engineers and build a Team Lead management layer with clear succession paths.
• Partner with Go-to-Market and Engagement on priority accounts, pilots, rollouts, escalations, adoption, and expansion.
• Lead selected enterprise engagements by translating legal problems into Legora workflows and reusable playbooks.
• Oversee complex multi-stakeholder programmes with clear governance, ownership, metrics, and risk management.
• Represent Italian market needs internally and shape Legora’s perspective on AI and legal work.

Requirements

• Qualified to practise law in Italy with substantial legal, legal-operations, or legal-technology experience.
• Experience building a team, function, market, or operating model from a low base.
• Strong people-management, hiring, coaching, delegation, and performance-management judgment.
• Curiosity about generative AI and product, with the ability to learn the platform and evaluate use-case design.
• Ability to work with Managing Partners, General Counsels, executive teams, and delivery specialists.
• Fluent Italian and English required; based in Milan and able to work from the office five days per week.
