Head of Exploration — Greenfields (Gold & Copper)

Location: Brisbane, Australia. The role includes regular international travel.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, pursue, and secure external greenfields exploration opportunities aligned with the growth strategy.
• Conduct technical and commercial due diligence on projects and support mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide geological expertise through terrane evaluations, exploration guidance, and actionable insights across global operations.
• Represent hirify.global in joint venture technical committees and guide geoscientific investigation, program direction, and reporting.
• Develop the annual greenfields exploration plan and budget and oversee execution.
• Provide technical leadership to site exploration and geology professionals and promote portfolio, approval, QA/QC, and performance governance tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of experience in greenfields exploration, with extensive mine geology exposure across geological environments and deposit types.
• Deep knowledge of mineral systems, exploration strategy, and project evaluation.
• Experience with technical and commercial due diligence, growth initiatives, and joint venture relationships.
• Strong commercial, analytical, stakeholder leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• International experience and understanding of jurisdictional risks and opportunities.
