AI/ML Software App Development Intern

Location: On-site in Chengdu, China

Company

hirify.global is seeking an intern for its Foundry Automation, Data Analytics and Process Group to support AI/ML solutions for manufacturing operations.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and testing AI/ML models for manufacturing processes.
• Collect, preprocess, analyze, and visualize data.
• Support solution integration, deployment, maintenance, and updates.
• Troubleshoot deployed solutions, monitor performance, and assist with optimization.
• Support user training, knowledge transfer, and preparation of project reports and presentations.
• Create technical documentation, user guides, process documentation, and training materials.

Requirements

• Master’s degree completed or in progress in computer science, data science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, databases, data management, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Minimum six-month commitment and on-site presence in Chengdu, China required.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing processes or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git, statistical analysis, or data mining.
