VP, Cloud Solution Architect (Cloud Data)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States. Hybrid work is available from home near a hirify.global Hub, with required commuting to the nearest virtual or physical Hub for regular meetings, training, and culture events. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $155,000–$260,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic design of hirify.global’s enterprise cloud data ecosystem for operational and analytical use cases.
• Define target-state cloud data architecture, modernization roadmaps, consumption patterns, controls, standards, and implementation approaches.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, data meshes, event-driven architecture, APIs, semantic layers, AI, and analytics ecosystems.
• Evaluate cloud-native services, integration patterns, storage models, query performance, security controls, resiliency, and cost optimization.
• Partner with technology, business, security, risk, data, analytics, product, engineering, and platform stakeholders to modernize legacy data ecosystems.
• Guide and mentor architects and engineering teams on cloud-native data design, migration, operational readiness, and consumption optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of experience in information technology, data architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, or related roles; alternatively, 10+ years of hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing, modernizing, or migrating data platforms in cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data warehousing, IAM, security, data protection, data integration, and analytics ecosystems.
• Experience defining target-state architectures, modernization roadmaps, reference architectures, design patterns, and implementation standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA or similar tools.
• Ability to work in the United States and flexibility to commute to a nearby Hub and travel for business as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit card, banking, or fintech organizations.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, cloud automation, orchestration, containers, and microservices.
• Experience with data-driven models, sensitive data, regulated environments, SAFe, and enterprise-scale transformation programs.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering innovative technology solutions.
