Senior Software Developer (MLOps)

Location: Remote worldwide, with optional in-person or hybrid work from offices in Montreal, Quebec City, London, or Weert

What you will do

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services for the machine learning platform.
• Improve the usability, observability, and reliability of AI platform infrastructure.
• Maintain services handling millions of requests and LLM calls per day.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, data engineers, and developers to integrate agentic applications into production.
• Evolve the platform to support large-scale agentic workflows and real-time inference.
• Suggest engineering improvements and use AI coding tools in the development workflow.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in a cloud environment.
• Experience with Python or Java/Spring; AWS experience is an asset.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug systems with guidance when needed.
• Comfort learning new tools, technologies, and engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Terraform, AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch Serverless, vector databases, LiteLLM, or other LLM inference gateways.
• Exposure to machine learning or agentic workflows.
• Interest in scalable backend services, large-scale real-time systems, and real-time inference.
