Paint Technician A (Aerospace)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; 100% onsite

What you will do

• Prepare aircraft components and airframe surfaces through repairs, sanding, taping, masking, and other surface-preparation work.
• Inspect components and parts before painting and document visible defects.
• Lay out stripes according to customer specifications and part drawings.
• Apply coatings and refinish repaired metal and composite/fiberglass components in accordance with hirify.global, FAA, customer, and factory standards.
• Use hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Support and train other employees in painting techniques and technical skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of painting and paint-preparation experience on metal and composite/fiberglass components.
• Strong paint skills and previous professional paint experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and bills of material and apply coatings according to technical data.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
• English communication skills are required for verbal and written communication.

Nice to have

• Trade school education.
• At least four years of painting and paint preparation on aircraft components.
