Senior Medical Writer (Promotional Medical Writing)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $75,000–$112,500 USD annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus.

Precision AQ is a payer marketing agency supporting pharmaceutical and life sciences clients with commercial excellence, market access, and evidence communication.

What you will do

• Serve as the content point person for assigned accounts and develop medically accurate print and digital materials.
• Create value proposition slide decks, advisory board materials, internal training resources, and other promotional medical communications.
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare annotations supporting promotional claims.
• Collaborate with account teams and pharmaceutical clients to align content with strategic priorities.
• Participate in medical, legal, and regulatory reviews, project kick-offs, status meetings, and client meetings.
• Contribute to new business proposals and tactical planning while mentoring junior staff; occasional travel for client meetings is required.

Requirements

• BA/BS in life sciences, or BA/BS in English combined with experience in a pharmaceutical agency, medical communications company, or healthcare advertising.
• At least 3 years of experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare environments.
• Command of American Medical Association style.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with scientific search engines including PubMed and Google Scholar.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, deadline management, prioritization, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience gathering, evaluating, and summarizing healthcare business and scientific literature for managed-care audiences.
• Knowledge of managed markets, healthcare delivery systems, health reform legislation, HMO, MCO, or PBM environments.
• Ability to develop engaging promotional content.
