TL;DR
Family Counsellor (Mental Health): Delivering evidence-based therapy, family assessments, parental guidance, and crisis support for children, teenagers, adults, and families with an accent on systemic family work, clinical documentation, and community mental health education. Focus on conducting validated assessments, resolving family conflicts, tracking therapeutic outcomes, and providing care onsite in Singapore.

Location: Onsite in Singapore; permanent five-day-a-week role, 40 hours per week, including every Saturday. Flexibility outside standard hours is required to collaborate across multiple time zones.

What you will do

  • Provide evidence-based individual therapy for children, teenagers, and adults.
  • Conduct parental guidance, family therapy, family assessments, conflict resolution, and psychoeducational sessions.
  • Use validated tools such as GAD-7, PHQ-9, and CORE-10 to assess risk, develop treatment plans, and track outcomes.
  • Maintain confidential clinical records and comply with Singaporean regulations, professional standards, and SAC ethical frameworks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and participate in crisis response management.
  • Deliver mental health workshops, webinars, presentations, onsite events, and thought-leadership content.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Registered Clinical Counselor or Full Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), or an equivalent recognized professional board.
  • Clinical experience supporting families, applying counseling techniques, and providing crisis intervention.
  • Proficiency with standardized clinical assessment tools and outcome-tracking methodologies.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development, clinical supervision, and ethical practice.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
