Insider Threat Investigator III (Cybersecurity)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Full-time onsite role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact insider threat investigations from detection through resolution.
• Advance the Insider Threat Program by improving investigative methods, detection capabilities, tooling, and alerting.
• Analyze complex and large-scale data to produce actionable intelligence and risk-reduction recommendations.
• Collaborate with security, legal, human resources, digital forensics, and business teams to resolve cases and mitigate risk.
• Develop detection strategies, investigative playbooks, and program enhancements that strengthen insider threat defense.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in insider threat, corporate investigations, cybersecurity, or a related investigative field.
• Experience managing complex cases, analyzing large datasets, presenting evidence, and delivering risk-reduction recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of UEBA, DLP, digital forensics, incident response, threat-informed defense, cybersecurity principles, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, CASB, PAM, intrusion prevention and detection systems, and related security platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, ethical decision-making, and judgment skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 5–7 years of insider threat investigation experience, including law enforcement, intelligence, military, or corporate investigative work.
• Experience securing AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud environments, supported by relevant certifications.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript for investigation automation, data analysis, or detection improvement.
• Certifications such as CERT ITPM, GCFA, CFCE, CFI, CFSR, or CFE.
