QA Engineer (Middle / Middle+)

IOKA TRAVEL develops travel products involving booking flows and integrations with external providers and payment gateways.

What you will do

• Perform API, backend, and mobile testing across multiple environments.
• Validate business logic, booking-related transactions, and data consistency across services.
• Investigate defects using VictoriaLogs, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana dashboards, database queries, and crash analytics.
• Create technically complete, structured, and reproducible bug reports with logs, metrics, and precise reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify root causes and improve product reliability.
• Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year and up to 3 years of QA experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and experience with Postman or Insomnia; ability to validate JSON schemas and response logic in FastAPI-based services.
• Ability to write SQL queries in PostgreSQL and understanding of transactions in booking-related flows.
• Experience with VictoriaLogs, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Trace ID analysis, error rates, and basic performance metrics.
• Basic Git commands and understanding of GitLab CI/CD pipelines and test execution across environments.
• Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android applications using emulators, simulators, and real devices. Familiarity with Flipper, Charles, Proxyman, and Sentry is required.

Nice to have

• Understanding of React Native specifics.
• Experience using AI and LLMs to generate test cases, analyze API specifications, refactor test code, or create mocks; familiarity with Pytest, Playwright, or Appium.
• TravelTech experience, including the booking lifecycle from creation through payment, confirmation, and cancellation.
• Experience testing integrations with external providers and gateways, as well as localization involving languages and date/time formats.
