Content Governance Engineer (Java / Go) (content governance): Building scalable content governance platforms, anti-abuse tooling, and policy enforcement pipelines with an accent on distributed systems, rule engines, and risk detection. What you will do
- Design, develop, and iterate on content governance platforms, anti-abuse tools, and content operations systems.
- Integrate recommendation systems with content governance capabilities and build stable, scalable governance pipelines.
- Deliver content review, risk detection, and policy enforcement capabilities with governance and product teams.
- Design and optimize content takedown rules, including adversarial defense, effectiveness evaluation, and rule improvement.
- Build rule engines supporting configuration, gradual rollout, retrospective analysis, and operational management.
- Develop governance solutions for spam, traffic diversion, low-quality content, fraud, black- and gray-market activity, and shilling.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java or Go with strong system design and development skills.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, message queues, caching, and relational databases.
- Understanding of content review, risk detection, policy enforcement, and governance effectiveness evaluation.
- Knowledge of rule engines or policy platforms and the ability to create configurable, extensible system capabilities.
- Understanding of content-platform risks, governance approaches, and adversarial defense.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product, operations, algorithm, and business teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with recommendation systems, recommendation engineering, or content distribution systems.
- Experience in content safety, anti-fraud, risk control, or black- and gray-market defense.
- Experience building large-scale content governance, rule-engine, or policy operations platforms.
- Experience applying machine learning models to content review, risk detection, or recommendation governance.
