Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Linux)

Location: Remote

Salary: $190,000 USD per year, plus competitive equity grants

hirify.global operates a global application platform that runs Docker containers as Firecracker micro-VMs on its own hardware and connects them through a global Anycast network.

What you will do

• Respond hands-on as a first and last responder during infrastructure incidents.
• Inspect physical servers, Linux systems, hosting infrastructure, and custom orchestration components to diagnose failures.
• Maintain and scale a global fleet of servers across multiple data centers.
• Consult with product teams to understand infrastructure needs and coordinate effective responses.
• Work with upstream providers to acquire hardware and resolve operational issues.
• Bring together platform teams, including Fly Machines, networking, MPG, and Sprites, during ongoing incidents.

Requirements

• Software development experience and strong programming foundations.
• Day-one proficiency with Linux networking, routing, standard operations telemetry, and Linux performance measurement.
• Willingness to learn and work with Rust, Go, Ruby, and Elixir.
• Experience with hardware and networking, including collaboration with infrastructure providers.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating product teams, providers, and incident responders.
• Ability to remain operationally calm and take decisive action during failures.
