Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Contractors based in Poland

Rate: 90–120 PLN/hour on a B2B service agreement

What you will do

• Support IT teams with preventive security measures, including SIEM monitoring, application security reviews, and cloud security reviews.
• Set up and configure client security tools for email security, access management, and asset protection.
• Automate incident responses and repetitive security work with Python and SOAR automation.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, software engineering, and business stakeholders on security incidents.
• Respond to account compromise, phishing, DDoS, and sensitive data exposure incidents.
• Assess Flix's security posture and propose improvements to services, detections, and response runbooks.

Requirements

• Experienced security professional with broad experience in email security, phishing, endpoint protection, SIEM, WAF, cloud security, and application security.
• Experience with cloud security services, including Cloud Security Posture Management, threat detection, data protection, and identity and access management.
• Experience with incident response and service desk ticket response.
• Solid Python programming skills and an interest in writing clean, maintainable automation code.
• Solid Terraform skills and a general understanding of software application architecture.
• Experience with monitoring or SIEM tools such as Splunk, ElasticSearch, or Datadog.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Independent contractor based in Poland.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI and its safe use for improving or automating related processes.
• Familiarity with AI security topics and preventive measures.
• AWS SAA or AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification.
