Junior Mechanical Engineer (Product Design)

Location: Billund, Denmark; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop technical designs for new hirify.global bricks from concept through production-ready design.
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, and product specifications.
• Apply quality, functionality, building-system, and product-safety standards.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturing principles into element designs.
• Conduct prototype testing and verify material selection, functionality, and product safety.
• Collaborate with Design, Marketing, Technical Mould Development, and Equipment Development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Knowledge and experience with CAD systems and 3D design.
• Knowledge of mechanical and structural design principles.
• Experience with variation and tolerance design principles and basic statistical methods.
• Focused, results-oriented approach and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work from the primary workplace in Billund, Denmark, under the hybrid work policy.

Nice to have

• Interest in robust design principles.
• Experience with plastic materials, mechanics, or moulding technology, preferably 2–5 years.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams within a global organization.
