Assistant Editor (Animation)

Location: Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia; flexible work arrangement with options for working from home and flexi-hours.

Independent Australian animation studio producing original long-form animated shows distributed on YouTube.

What you will do

• Maintain Premiere projects and organize editorial files throughout production.
• Manage storyboards in Storyboard Pro and import layout, animation, and compositing shots.
• Import, log, and prepare scratch dialogue, production recordings, and ADR for editors.
• Output turnovers and other files for sound, music, screenings, and quality control.
• Organize sound effects, music, and walla libraries.
• Publish materials to production, manage XMLs and timing changes, and provide accurate production information.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of experience in animation, film, or television editorial.
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Understanding of animation pipelines and workflows.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under tight schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills and passion for animation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Storyboard Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or Unreal Engine.
