Test Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Melbourne, Australia; full working rights in Australia required

CitoPlus is a financial services startup developing a digital platform that automates commercial loan application workflows, including customer data handling, document management, analytics, and loan structuring.

What you will do

• Plan and perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing for the web application and supporting APIs.
• Write clear defect reports with reproduction steps, expected and actual behavior, severity, and customer impact.
• Develop and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests within the existing automation framework.
• Validate document extraction, deal creation, fraud checks, data integrity, and edge cases using realistic inputs.
• Collaborate with engineers and the product team during refinement, stand-ups, development, and release checks.
• Use AI tools for test design, test data generation, and coverage analysis while reviewing outputs critically.

Requirements

• Two to three years of hands-on software testing experience, preferably with web applications and APIs.
• Previous experience writing automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a similar tool.
• Ability to read logs, run basic SQL queries, use API tools such as Postman, and understand TypeScript code at a high level.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain issues to engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
• Strong attention to data accuracy, with financial services, fintech, or another regulated or high-trust environment viewed favorably.
• Full working rights in Australia are required.

Nice to have

• Experience testing AI or LLM-based features and other non-deterministic functionality.
• Exposure to lending, broker workflows, or financial document processing.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Nuxt, Node services, PostgreSQL, or AWS.
• Experience with API testing, SQL, performance testing, or accessibility testing.
• ISTQB Foundation or a similar testing qualification.
