What you will do

• Dispense spectacles and other optical products for adults and children using prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Verify prescription and order data, take measurements, read prescriptions with a lensometer, and ensure accurate order processing.
• Advise members on lenses and frames, including style, weight, color, and products suited to their visual needs.
• Provide in-person and telephone service, explain exam-fee procedures, notify members about product readiness, and complete dispensing.
• Support eyeglass adjustments and repairs, including the use of optical hand tools.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, payments, funds, sales metrics, and department standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices is preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in wholesale, retail, or optical environments is preferred.
• Ability to move frequently on hard surfaces, lift up to 20 pounds, and handle small optical tools.
