Senior BI / Power Platform Engineer

Location: Hybrid at the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, with up to three telework days per week. Remote work may be authorized by the Government on an exception basis; occasional travel may be required. Active SECRET security clearance required.

Salary: $132,000–$175,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise BI dashboards and reports in Power BI, with additional support for Palantir Foundry and Advana.
• Translate validated government requirements and backlog items into dashboards, data models, measures, visualizations, application features, and workflow automation.
• Design and maintain Power BI semantic models, dataflows, DAX calculations, refresh schedules, query performance, and data-quality controls.
• Build and sustain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows with accessible interfaces, exception handling, monitoring, and operational reliability.
• Perform unit testing, support government UAT, remediate defects, and prepare release notes, requirements traceability matrices, and UAT evidence.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects, support stakeholders, and provide technical training on BI and Power Platform tools.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing production Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, dataflows, and DAX-based calculations.
• Hands-on experience building Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for enterprise users.
• Experience translating functional requirements into analytics and application solutions, including testing and UAT support.
• Knowledge of data modeling, SQL, data quality, security and role-based access, accessibility, and UI/UX practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot refresh, calculation, performance, integration, and workflow issues in production environments.
• Active SECRET clearance and compliance with DoD/DAF security, cybersecurity-awareness, CUI, OPSEC, and access-training requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience building BI products in Palantir Foundry, including Envision, Maven, or Vantage, or in Advana.
• Experience supporting DoD, DAF, or Air National Guard users and mission-oriented dashboards.
