Staff App Engineer (Flutter)

Location: Hamburg or Berlin, Germany

Salary: €85,000–€100,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android using Flutter.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and establish coding standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Testers, Backend, Web, and other teams in a cross-stack environment.
• Introduce technologies, tools, and processes that improve developer productivity and product quality.
• Debug performance and reliability issues across the application stack.

Requirements

• 4+ years of programming experience, including at least one year of app development.
• Expert-level knowledge of Dart and Flutter.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as fastlane and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with unit and golden tests, performance optimization, and profiling.
• Strong ownership, self-drive, leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Native iOS or Android development experience, or mobile automated testing experience.
• Experience with gRPC, Firebase, Sentry, or DataDog.
• Figma knowledge and open-source experience.
