Senior Java Software Engineer (Data + GCP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Own data engineering components that improve data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and optimize pipelines using Dataflow and related GCP services.
• Build SQL-based data models and integrations across BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and other data sources.
• Implement schema versioning and database changes with Liquibase or Flyway.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation, proof-of-concept initiatives, platform optimization, and modern data architecture adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on data engineering.
• 2+ years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases, data integrations, and connectivity patterns.
• Practical knowledge of Liquibase or Flyway, plus experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT data pipelines; Python scripting and modern data architecture knowledge are a plus.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English and the ability to communicate effectively in international teams.
