Senior Manager, Compliance (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the relationship with the Central Bank of Kuwait, including correspondence, inspections, information requests, and supervisory dialogue.
• Lead the compliance workstream for CBK registration and licensing.
• Build the Kuwait compliance framework, including policies, controls, monitoring plans, and risk assessments.
• Act as MLRO and own the AML/CFT programme, including STR filing, CDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
• Maintain the BNPL consumer protection framework covering disputes, fee transparency, and complaints.
• Track regulatory changes, conduct assessments and audits, prepare CBK and committee reporting, and advise internal stakeholders on compliance implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory advisory within a CBK-regulated business.
• Direct experience dealing with the CBK, including inspections and regulatory submissions.
• Working knowledge of the CBK e-payment of funds regime and Kuwait's AML/CFT framework.
• Experience building compliance frameworks rather than only administering them.
• Professional Arabic and English, including the ability to draft regulatory correspondence in Arabic.
