Data & AI Engineer (Cloud Data/AI): Building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, warehouse models, ETL processes, and machine learning workflows for manufacturing and supply chain with an accent on data quality, operational reliability, and AI-ready data. Focus on improving query performance, operating ingestion and monitoring systems, and applying CI/CD, containerization, and DataOps practices in cloud environments.
Location: Lyon, France; hybrid work with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday onsite
Salary: €48,000–€72,000 per year, plus short-term and collective variable compensation

What you will do
- Own defined data pipeline workstreams, transforming raw data into scalable and reliable insights in cloud environments.
- Develop, tune, and refactor data warehouse models for query performance, workload efficiency, and maintainability.
- Build and improve ETL/ELT processes and machine learning workflows that provide clean, AI-ready data for applications and downstream products.
- Implement data quality checks, governance standards, remediation paths, and operational monitoring.
- Operate ingestion, observability, and monitoring systems to track KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and improve pipeline health.
- Apply engineering patterns through CI/CD integrations, containerized deployments, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Experience owning data pipeline workstreams and data warehouse solutions in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with production ETL/ELT processes, data models, and pipeline orchestration.
- Confident SQL skills on modern data warehousing platforms, including performance-aware design.
- Experience with Python data processing, cloud data services, orchestration frameworks, and production workflows.
- Practical DevOps and DataOps experience with CI/CD, Git, version control, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; mandatory English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake, IICS, dbt, AWS, Airflow, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
