Engineering Manager, File

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office at the Prague office

Data platform company developing enterprise storage and file services for mission-critical workloads across the AI ecosystem.

What you will do

• Lead the full software development lifecycle for core file service features, from design through production rollout.
• Define the roadmap for multi-server and directory services with senior architects and Product Management.
• Guide technical trade-offs between feature innovation, scalability, performance, and long-term system stability.
• Strengthen testing strategies, CI/CD health, operational ownership, and defect prevention.
• Manage and mentor a team of 5–8 engineers working on complex distributed systems.
• Coordinate dependencies with Protocol and Security teams to deliver predictable, secure, and auditable releases.

Requirements

• Experience leading, developing, and managing high-performing software engineering teams.
• Software engineering background building high-throughput distributed systems and customer-facing software.
• Technical credibility in system architecture reviews, technical trade-offs, and engineering decision-making.
• Experience collaborating across geographically distributed engineering, product, architecture, and security teams.
• Track record of shipping complex customer-facing products through the full development lifecycle using pragmatic Agile practices.
• Ability to work from the Prague office in accordance with the in-office policy.
