What you will do
- Define the technical roadmap, architecture, and engineering strategy for the experimentation platform.
- Build near-real-time observability and alerting systems using Scala, Pub/Sub, Akka, Dataflow, and Google Cloud.
- Architect scalable batch data pipelines with Dataflow, BigQuery, and Airflow/Cloud Composer.
- Develop experiment targeting and localized assignment capabilities to reduce latency and improve developer experience.
- Optimize experimentation pipelines, frameworks, query layers, performance, scalability, cost, and accuracy.
- Partner with analysts, marketers, product managers, and data scientists while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on data engineering and data architecture.
- Proficiency in Scala, Python, and SQL.
- Experience building large-scale pipelines with Spark, Flink, Google Dataflow, BigQuery, or Airflow/Cloud Composer.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis libraries such as Statsmodels and SciPy, plus A/B testing and statistical concepts.
- Strong architectural leadership, communication, project leadership, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
