Software Engineer Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Build and improve internal tools, dashboards, and automation systems for factory operations.
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, and data pipelines used by engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Implement features that improve visibility into production workflows, capacity, and program status.
• Collaborate with operations, program management, and quality teams to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or a similar programming language.
• Familiarity with backend development, APIs, or data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and follow-through skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and interest in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial systems.
• Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA; candidates must meet applicable U.S. ITAR authorization requirements.

• Prior internship or project experience shipping production software.
