Insider Threat Counter Operations (ITCO) Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Seattle, USA; work from the Seattle office

Salary: $142,000–$309,000 per year, plus a potential annual bonus of 0–20% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design and execute realistic, risk-based insider threat simulation campaigns covering sensitive data exfiltration, privilege abuse, and system sabotage.
• Test the integrity and effectiveness of IT Security, Information Security, DLP, IAM, and legal hold controls.
• Develop custom tooling, automated frameworks, and testing infrastructure to scale ITCO simulation capabilities.
• Evaluate insider risk management controls and processes across security, investigations, HR, and Legal functions.
• Produce actionable reports that connect tactical findings to enterprise security strategy and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in Security Engineering or Cybersecurity.
• Experience with offensive operations, digital forensics, red teaming, penetration testing, or insider threat engineering.
• Knowledge of insider threat investigations, behavior patterns, data privacy, IAM, PAM, and information security control frameworks.
• Hands-on development and scripting skills for automation and security tooling.
• Fluent English and native Korean proficiency; role based in the Seattle office.

Nice to have

• Experience in large-scale e-commerce or high-growth technology environments.
• Familiarity with South Korean data security regulations, compliance standards, and legal frameworks.
