Focus on auditing complex study transactions, resolving billing discrepancies, supporting ERP and OnCore reconciliations, and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Location: Brookline, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with 2–3 onsite days per week

Salary: $88,700–$98,000 per year

What you will do

  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, payments, and financial reconciliation for clinical research studies.
  • Review clinical research, site, and vendor contracts and budgets for adherence to financial terms.
  • Track study financial activity across disease centers and service sites in the Clinical Trials Management System.
  • Verify vendor and research site bills, reconcile stipends and reimbursements, and resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and third parties.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, analyses, and audit documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements, support month-end ERP and OnCore Financials reconciliations, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least four years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of the clinical trials lifecycle.
  • Complex accounting, reconciliation, analysis, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with data entry and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days onsite in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

  • Management or mentoring experience.
  • MCA Certification within one year of hire.
