TL;DR
Software Engineer (PHP/LLM): Developing and scaling Supporting Cast’s podcast subscription platform, including user and administrator features, website embeds, and third-party integrations with an accent on PHP/Laravel development and agentic engineering. Focus on applying AI tools to accelerate feature development, improve code quality and security, and support applications serving clients with tens of thousands of members.
Location: Fully remote within the United States, with the ability to largely work East Coast hours.

Supporting Cast operates a podcast subscription management platform for independent creators, podcast publishers, media companies, and corporate clients.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain user-facing and administrator-facing features for the podcast subscription platform.
- Scale the application for clients with tens of thousands of members and evaluate new technologies.
- Build and maintain website implementations, embeds, and third-party integrations.
- Use AI tools to accelerate feature development and improve code quality and security.
- Influence the evolving technology stack as part of a small development team.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience with PHP and a PHP framework such as Laravel.
- 1–2 years of experience with LLM-based AI.
- Familiarity with programming fundamentals and industry best practices.
- Willingness to adapt and learn on the job.
- Ability to work largely during East Coast hours.
