Systems Engineer for MMD HW & SW Specification, Development Coordination and Integration (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid work is available when possible.

What you will do

• Install and administer the Getafe laboratory, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, server-client networks, identity and authentication services, and security hardening.
• Deploy and manage virtualization and containerization technologies, including VirtualBox, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Docker, and Podman.
• Specify and integrate MMD and RLMIS software components on MMD hardware using REST APIs, WebSockets, OpenAPI, PKI, certificate management, IAM, PAM, SSO, and federation technologies.
• Provide technical leadership to suppliers and ensure compliance with architectural principles, security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, troubleshooting, software and system testing, and integration of lessons learned.
• Coordinate with external software development teams on requirements, supplier deliverables, integration, and testing activities.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field with a Computer Science focus.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including IT administration and software integration in Linux environments, preferably RHEL.
• Extensive experience planning and executing software and system tests for complex software systems.
• Proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, flexibility, confident communication, and a quality-conscious approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICDMS, DOORS, CAMEO, Microsoft products, project management, or supplier management.
• Knowledge of Eurofighter or A400M ground support and maintenance information systems.
• Knowledge of aviation-unit processes for aircraft operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of airworthiness requirements for airborne systems.
